The Peacock Theatre Update 🎭

If you’ve been following us for long, you know The Peacock Theatre underwent a major renovation in 2024 as part of our Phase 1 improvements.


Now, we’re getting ready for the next exciting chapter.


At the end of April 2026, The Peacock Theatre will temporarily close for the summer to allow Phase 2 renovations to begin. We hope to reopen in September or October 2026.


Phase 2 improvements include:

  • A new, larger lobby

  • A new, larger concession stand

  • Two larger ADA-accessible restrooms for men and women

  • A new ADA family restroom

  • Elimination of steps at the theatre entrance

  • An expanded concessions menu


And yes, Monticello — we hear you loud and clear — you want to see what’s playing on the sign. 👏


There is also a chance we may move into Phase 3, which includes a new electronic sign outside so passersby can easily see what’s playing.


Of course, you can still always find showtimes from the comfort of your home on our:

  • Facebook page

  • website

  • mobile app

  • third-party apps like Fandango


And yes, you can even purchase tickets online.


Last month, we also hosted our first-ever Clean Comedy Night, sponsored by Tri Kappa Monticello Sorority. It was a huge success, and we can’t wait to bring you even more live entertainment alongside first-run movies when we return.

Lake Shore Drive-In Update 🌟🚗


The Lake Shore Drive-In will reopen April 24 and 25, 2026, for our Customer Appreciation Weekend — and yes, we’ll be offering FREE ADMISSION.


This marks the drive-in’s 77th season, and we are proud to continue keeping this incredible piece of Americana alive.


Opening weekend movies have not yet been confirmed, so stay tuned and check back closer to the date.


Last fall, we stayed open through the end of October, and the response was fantastic. Because of that great turnout, we plan to remain open through the end of October 2026 as well.


Our summer lineup is still in the works, but we’re also hoping to bring in some special events throughout the season.
