Lost White County
The Lakes Theater was first opened on Nov. 10, 1933. It was damaged by the April 3, 1974, tornado and stayed closed for repair until June 25. It closed a year later and was purchased by Roger Vore of Vore Cinema Corporation. The front of the theater was demolished, and a new entrance was created. He renamed it Twin Lakes Cinema. The cinema was sold last year to Ryan Harrison and Ryan Crawford of Winamac, who renamed it Peacock Theater. It is currently closed for renovations.
